Display and written report need to be ready to hand in that day. Students will be conducting presentations to a small group of their peers at that time.
Introduced and started Career Project today. To keep students on track I suggest that they have their research completed by Wednesday, so that they can begin typing the paper on Wednesday-Friday. Display board should be worked on May 21-23rd.
Welcome back from D.C. Week!
Between now and Open House (May 24th), students will be working on 2 projects in class. We are starting this week with their Element Poster project where they will be researching and designing an "element tile" about a specific element - this will be able to be done in class. Once that is completed students will be working on a Chemical/Physical Science Career project. This project is more in depth and includes both a written portion and a tri-fold poster display. I will also give time in class for students to work on this - however I will need help getting the students their materials for this: display board and any embellishments such as stickers, colored paper, stencils, etc. The element project will be started today in class and due by Thursday. The science career project will be explained in detail to them on Friday and they will begin their research then. The display board will need to be brought in no later than May 21st for the students to work on in class. The project will be officially due on May 24th. |
